Is there an article or forum that explains how turn-based games work?
I’ve tried searching with various advanced filters and get “too many results so none are shown”
I’m trying to understand how a game works if it’s (for example) 4 turns per day…does that mean if I sleep more than 6 hours I’d time out?

It means you get +6 hours every turn (with a maximum of 24 hours). There's no "time off", so if you sleep more than 6 hours and are unlucky with timing, after a few turns you may time out, yes. With faster games you have a choice of playing hours, and I believe you time does not go down outside of those hours.

So if I was lucky and finished my first turn within 1 hour, I would have 11 hours countdown for turn 2?

Yes.

The clock only ticks when it's your turn.
Your time will reach a maximum level though. The max is same as the time you initially start with.

So if I was lucky and finished my first turn within 1 hour, I would have 11 hours countdown for turn 2?

Probably more, I think you start off with more than 6 hours for the first turn (maybe the maximum already).

Is it possible to know how many time has used by each player? Its to know if i must connect much more times now or not...

Unfortunately you have to enter the game to tell how much maximum wait time is left. But don’t count on that because if they play sooner, your turn will come sooner.
Also, when I play “turn based 1 play per day” the maximum time is 2 days….And that is what you will see in the game for each player unless they let their timers get smaller.
