Turn based 'friends only game"

Post by DocStryder »

Hi,

I created a game earlier today. Kingdom Builder. 5 player. Put restrictions on for 'friends only' so I could have no timer. None of my friends were online so it emailed them for the game invite. The last guy tried to get in about 1.5 hours after the invite was sent and the game had abandoned because not enough people had joined "in awhile".

What is 'awhile'? Why does the game table care how long it takes someone to join from an email invite? And if does care, doesn't it make sense that an email invite might take a few hours to join?

Maybe I just don't understand something here? Can anyone shed some light on this?

That doesn't make sense, I've definitely set up games where not everyone joined in the first couple of hours. Maybe you didn't select "no time limit". Also note that Training Mode games count as real-time games, so if you had it in training mode that may be the issue.

I believe real-time tables close after 1 hour. Turn-based tables can stay for a couple of days at least.

Thanks folks.

It was not in training mode and it was on turn based no time limit....I know that because I was trying to figure out how to have it stop telling me I couldn't pick that option unless I restricted the table to 'friends only;....which I finally figured out.

Three of the guys were able to get in. It was just the last guy who couldn't. When I went in, the site told me the game was abandoned because not enough players had joined the game....and I quote "in awhile". I It is weird I'll give you that.

Thx,
