Graduating game to Gold/Normal release

Post by agrypelago »

Hi all!
What are the steps to take the game off of BETA and into GOLD?
Is it just a matter of setting the 'is_beta' => 0 in the gameinfos.inc.php or does it have to be done by BGA Studio admin?
I can't seem to find any information related to this.

I sent several email to BGA but have not heard back. I appreciate any help with this.
Thanks

It's not your decision, it's up to BGA (in consultation with the game's publisher, I believe).

BGA will likely be in touch with you when they plan to promote the game to full release and announce it to the community - but I've heard stories of sometimes when they don't actually inform the developer. Regardless, any game that reaches Beta that isn't riddled with unfixed bugs is basically certain to get a full release before too long.

You may just have to be patient with the email response.

In my email, I cc'd the game designer. BGA will want to know that everyone agrees to the full release.

In this case I'm both the dev and the designer so it should be easy. :)
Thanks for the reply

I kinda figured that but wasn't sure if I missed something in the documentation. Yeah, they told me that I could do a silent release - no announcement if I wanted to have the ability to play in the arena and do tournaments. Thanks for the reply.
