(I can only provide anecdotal evidence for this, but I had two games end in such fashion this week, and in both cases incorporating a score of 1 or 0 into my average instead of the usual 180-200 brought that average score down noticeably.) I do not mean Elo.
I haven't found this "average score" you are mentioning when looking at my statistics page for a game, so not sure what you are referring to. Of course I may have missed something, we have a lot of features.

Oh you must actually mean what's displayed on the "game history" list? That's a running computation depending on the filter. If you tick the "finished games only" checkbox you may get what you want.

Ticking "finished games only" still includes conceded games ;).

But IMO that behaviour is correct, because conceded games are normal games that just didn't play out the last moves while the result (winner) was determined normally through the game.

It's true that the number shown there gets "sabotaged" from conceded games. But I think that number isn't a valuable indicator of anything anyway. In most games, it barely reflects skillful play. A good player would prefer a move that gives -1 to self and -3 to the opponnent over a move that gives +1 to self. So focussing (or even looking) at that number doesn't lead you anywhere :P

Interesting -- I'm not premium, so I don't have any filters available to me as far as I can tell, just the the "Average Score" number computed by BGA in the game history for each game. I play Clans of Caledonia, which is mostly played as a multiplayer game, and the average score is a valuable statistic because 1) despite some minor luck, it is essentially a very skill-based game, and I like to see improvement over time; and 2) making moves that harm myself less than an opponent are not as viable as in a 2-player game, since that leaves another 1 or 2 opponents who indirectly benefit, so it's more about finding ways to maximize your own score (while of course keeping track of what your opponents are doing, as in many Euros). I made it a personal goal to raise my average score to a specific number, but it is always frustrating when that gets tanked anytime someone quits a game or is booted for running out of time, so I just wanted to see if there was a way to fix that!

When you don't play 2p games, then conceded game is not an issue because it's not possible to concede in 3+ games.
Ticking the "finished games only" is exactly what gives you what you're looking for. I don't think that's a premium-feature.

agree that average score (in game history) is affected by conceded and timeout games. I have noticed it also.

Highest ELO reached would also be a good addition as suggested in another thread since the current game history graph is not very accurate.

Silene wrote: 21 April 2022, 23:24 I think the point is, that an overwhelming win WOULD give a push on your average score upwards. A conceded game denies this push upwards which means it IS meddling with your stats somehow. But I don't mind. I think it's a good thing to be able to concede a game where you're hopeless but the game would still go on for a long time.
I don't really know much and have thoughts about concessions, but I came to the forums because I've been (near) constantly running into someone in Via Magica arena mode (realtime) that the moment I complete my 7th card and am obviously about to win as soon as I finish the obligatory "pick-an-8th-card-that-won't-be-used-because-game-is-coded-that-way-so-just-do-it", they concede.

I just don't get what merit there is to conceding the very last move, unless it has something to do with these sort of stats or the ratings? (I don't know how those are exactly calculated and even if I see the formulas I'm not sure I'd understand, so..)

I can see why people would concede the moment they find the game "impossible to win" and I see how it makes sense when continuing is just prolonging the inevitable—however the whole "leaving on the very last move of the game" is rather irritating after a while, especially since sometimes it takes a long time to find a match for a game like Via Magica (or other games held in 2p mode that don't have a whole ton of players in arena). I also feel that if you wanted to concede the game when you felt you were done for most people would concede the first or near early as possible time they notice the game to be near impossible to win (which, I've seen them too and while it's a bit like "you never know if the pulls would've gone your way later but ok", it makes sense).

If there's nothing there, period, then I'd be at peace of mind giving a red thumb to someone who makes a game so irritating by conceding only at the literal last second.

I would like to renew this request to have high and low score included in game statistics. Even better would be final scores by percentile.
