Why are these game titles in upper case?

Post by fruktansvärt »

Usually, when a word is written in upper case (in normal text), it indicates that it is an acronym. Titles on covers are often written in upper case, but this is just a design decision. Some titles here on BGA, however, retain their upper case status even in normal text. Often when the title is only one word.

PARKS (it is just the word Parks, it should not be in upper case)
ONE (it is just the word One, it should not be in upper case)
BANG! (an argument can be made, but really, it should be written Bang!)
LLAMA (inexplicably written L.A.M.A on the cover, but Llama in the rules text. Llama seems to refer to the llama character, so what is L.A.M.A.?)

and also
EVL (written eVL on the cover, but EVL in the rules text. Is EVL an acronym? It is never explained)
VEGEtables (perhaps VegeTables?)

LAMA (acronym for "Lege Alle Minuspunkte Ab", "drop off all the minus points")

We just try our best to reflect the publishers choices, which may vary depending upon the game localization.
