Hello BGA community

I do not understand the advantages of the report. I've been reported for something in BGA guideline isnt punishable

BGA should understand the difference between a conversation and an offense. I do not like the way BGA moderators are handling reports:

- If you are reported, BGA only takes into account the player who reported and NOT the reported player. If you want to make a fair judgement, you should hear both sides of the story, and not only one.
- The report should have sustantial evidence to be offense. "If there is any possible doubt, a player should be considered not guilty" (BGA moderation Policy)
- When you are reported, it is USELESS to spend 5 minutes writing an appeal because BGA will not respond to any of your appeals. Therefore, you have to serve the sentence without knowing if your appeal was even opened.

in sum, I request:

- Reports should be taken more seriously( bullying, hate crimes, cheaters) and not because of a difference of opinion
- When a report is filed, moderator SHOULD hear both sides of the story BEFORE making any judgement
- BGA moderator SHOULD write back to players when appeals are made.

In sum, BGA has a lot of improvemnets to do.

Moderating BGA is difficult and we are receiving a lot of reports, so obviously there may be some mistakes or misunderstandings.

If you think that your moderation is unjustified considering BGA Moderation policy, please write to us using Contact Form instead of posting on the forum: each moderation case is specific and posting it on the forum is more confusing than anything else. https://boardgamearena.com/support

However, writing to appeal a moderation after insulting others or cursing in the chat will not result in a removal of the moderation, as these things are clearly against BGA policy. Even if you have been provoked, this behaviour is not tolerated on BGA. We expect players to remain polite and respectful in the chat. We state clearly in the moderation report that we will not reply if we find the moderation to be warranted.

If you continue to post about moderation in the Forums, you will receive a penalty for it. This is not the proper channel.
