If I'm playing with a Russian player, I'm not going to instigate a conversation about Ukraine with them. Whilst we are unlikely to have the same thoughts on it, I'm very much aware that a random Russian citizen (who's presumably sat at home, not actively fighting) will have been exposed to propaganda and official-messaging that I'm not privy to, nor would I expect them to risk being picked up by their state surveillance for typing anti-Russian sentiments online to a random stranger on BGA.
Likewise, I'm aware that as a Brit, there are many countries in the world who see my country as an aggressive agitator (and substantially more who see the USA as such), and some conflicts will still be ongoing, or have the UK involved by proxy. I'd hope that BGA players wouldn't try and hold me - a random pacifistic citizen - to account over the actions of the government I happen to live under.
