About war in Ukraine

I have also canceled my membership. I wish there was more we could do. This non-response is disgraceful. I have no desire to play with Russian players. I have seen them say terrible things about the war in chat and decided I am done. The fact that we are penalized for that is ridiculous. Their country is committing genocide, forgive me if I don't feel bad if they can't play a board game online when they want to. BGA needs to follow most of the world's lead and take firmer action. Shame on them.

I just want to back this player up. I have seen on multiple chats, completely unprovoked, Russian players taunting others about the war, about their country's leaders, about what Putin will do, etc.

I now don't play with Russian players at all - because I was already conflicted, and those comments ruin my enjoyment of the game and haunt me for days afterwards.

When politely stating that "I'm sorry, I do not wish to play with Russian players while Ukraine is under attack" (if I am unable to expell a particular player around a forming table and they keep joining) some players in countries that seem less emotionally affected have been laughing, taunting and jeering.

These are just a couple of reasons that I am disappointed that BGA's response is still inadequate.

I am willing to lose Karma for leaving a game if I find myself with a Russian player in game. I will write a quick note like "I do not play with Russians due to the War." and then I leave. It is totally worth it to me, perhaps others should consider a "boycott" on Russian players. If BGA won't do it, it doesn't mean you cant.

Please DO report this type of behaviour when you encounter it on BGA. We take these types of comments very seriously, and the offending party will be strongly moderated. If it is not reported, we cannot moderate it.

It is shameful and disgraceful that BGA penalizes Ukrainians for not wanting to play with Russians. BGA should be ashamed of themselves. Absolutely ashamed. They will never get one cent of my money again and I advice everyone to do the same. Every response they post is weak and shows that in the end they care about money and nothing else. It is disgusting. Their (non)response to this inhumane genocide is appalling.

In the Lugansk region, a village was bombed, where an old woman, 80 years old, was left without access to water. Ukrainian soldiers free the village and gave the grandmother water and food. It is impossible to look without tears at what the russians have done to Ukraine. They took away childhood from our children, and calm life from our parents.

russian players have no place on the site if they openly support war crimes, and believe me, the flag on the avatar is not just patriotism, it is pride for their bloody killers and their mad dictator

It is very sad to see so many Russian sympathizers on this forum. Are you not watching the news that the rest of the world is watching? How can you defend the actions of a terrorist country?

It is true not all Russians support the war. But the majority of them do. Failing to take any action shows that you are indifferent to the suffering going on in Ukraine.
