Your aggressive tone is noted. I guess you thought the insults thrown at me were "fine".

So, again, *you* understand BGA policy better than BGA staff? Just trying to be clear here.

Missing out half of a sentence to misrepresent what I said is not "just trying to be clear".

OK. The other half of the sentence states enforcement of the policy, which implies understanding of when it should be enforced.

You presented an either/or situation. This normally means that both are important, since no clarification was given that one situation would be acceptable while the other isn't. To that end, I focused on one situation.

So again. *You* understand the policy, and how it should be enforced, better than BGA staff?

Whatever point you are trying to make is not clear. The matter remains extremely simple. If there is a policy that the word "god" is not acceptable in a username, then allowing the word "g0d" to be used instead and declaring that "fine" is ridiculous. Do you understand that?

I understand that your interpretation of the policy leads you to believe that that.

We have a dismissal of a report stating that a name containing the substring g0d is allowed.
We have a BGA staff member stating that a username containing "Goddess" is acceptable. Unless you want to admit to sexism, both god and goddess are equally provocative.

Actually, I have a little more time now for typing, so let me see if I understand the situation.
I will admit that some of my earlier comments were made without a detailed reading of what was posted. So, let's go back to the beginning.

Please let me know if any of these statements are incorrect.

1) If a user attempts to create a name containing the substring "god", a message appears stating that usernames cannot contain the word god. Specifically that message is "Sorry, because of our moderation policy your username cannot contain `god`."
2) A username was found to contain the substring "g0d".
3) This username was reported to BGA administrators.
4) This report was dismissed. The username was allowed.
5) A BGA administrator stated that usernames can contain the substring.
xate wrote: 06 May 2022, 10:20 "SplendorGoddess" is a good example; this username would be acceptable on BGA.

Which of these, if any, are incorrect?

For the nth time, the problematic username does not merely contain the substring "g0d", it contains the word "god", written with an 0 instead of o.

Ok. So I'm guessing you think item 2 is incorrect. And that you don't believe words in a sentence are substrings of that sentence. And you can prove this is a word because of spaces in the name, not because it seems logical to you that the name should be separated that way. There are no characters directly before or after these three.

Is this reverse-trolling?
