Do not call out other players, moderators will act on that.
The flag itself is not the problem. It's the flag they've been born under, the flag they have lived all their lives with, and now that there is war - which I do not condone - they can no longer show their flag?

What if there is someone named Jack Johnson, and his brother John Johnson committed heavy crimes. Are you going to tell Jack that he may no longer use the name Johnson because of what John did? Does Jack have to take the responsibility?
Oh, really? And what about Gitler's Germany flag, with swastica? Somebody was born under it. And somebody is loving it. Why a lot of countries bun it? Why it is a crime to use it on street?
Maybe it is not just a flag?

The flag with a swastika was never a national flag. It never represented the country of Germany, it represented the Nazi Party. Nobody was born under this flag.

The Russian flag is weaponized by the Russian state and the military and the name of which war crimes, genocide are committed in Ukraine. The flag is a symbol of war, it's no longer an ordinary symbol. To deny this is incredibly disingenuous. For this reason, white-blue-white flag is used by anti-war movement in Russia and abroad: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-blue-white_flag

Russian folks have option to support the flag of peace or the flag of war: https://apnews.com/article/mariupol-med ... 8bddbe4ee4

Ah yes, because someone else starts using 'my flag' for malicious purposes, I lose the right to use 'my flag' which I've used all my life?

I wonder why the swastika is still allowed to be used in Budhism and Hinduism? Oh right, because they have the right to use it. It was their flag, their symbol to begin with before the Nazis started using it for malicious purposes.

Only someone? You are unbelievable, you reduced Russian state and military committing war crimes and genocide in Ukraine under the Russian flag to "someone" ? This context does not matter to you? The future of the Russian flag is uncertain, but the flag now is completely associated with the war in Ukraine and should be problematized, especially how it is being used to mobilize the support of the war in Russia. There is a reason why Russian anti war movement have adapted the white-blue-white flag to disassociate themselves from the state and the war that's going on. If you are not inspired by that, then you clearly do not support anti-war initiatives and are not interesting in stopping the war.

On some days, the internet just makes me sad. All this shallowness and unnecessary aggression, hard to comprehend.

I know it's nice to stay calm and collected when there is no war in your country. Big thumbs up.

I have repeatedly said I do not condone the actions that are going on. But the problem is not the Russian players on this site, the problem is not 'the flag'.

The problem is Putin, the problem is Russian government that follows him, the problem is Russian army that has no other choice than to obey to march to Ukraine, but on top of that perform various heinous war crimes.

BGA made a standpoint not to ban Russian players, and everyone here is constantly asking to go against BGA's policy. If your values are that important, just leave BGA!
