Safari Mobile Push Notifications

Seems that iOS 16 will have Safari mobile push notifications. I’ve been waiting for BGA to have these. Does anyone know if BGA will implement Safari iOS push notifications?

Do you have any announcement link? If Apple finally implemented the web push notification standard, it should work out of the box.
If they did their own thing... that's another matter

It looks like the real deal - W3C standards for Push API, Notifications API, and Service Workers. See https://webkit.org/blog/12945/meet-web-push/

HOWEVER note that currently this is on desktop Safari only and requires the beta Mac OS Ventura, and is not coming to iOS until *next* year. (I think this is because they want notifications to reliably work when the browser is not open. The other browsers which already support web notifications must be running for notifications to be delivered - although you don't have to have that particular site open.)

Thanks for the link, that's pretty good news!
It looks like it should work with our current implementation. Of course, reality might be slightly different and need some tweaking, but it looks like it's finally going to happen in 2023 then
