It's very hard to meet similar elo when I reach top 20, which in this begging of this game, elo 300. So I usually just get to ply with elo 100+, sometimes one or two elo 200+ players. Once the elo point distance is big enough, players would simply refuse to trade with me from the beginning,even with good offers. Let's not mention the maniac robber ply. I wish there would be an anonymous system for elo points.

Trade mechanics is taking too long(

Games take too long.
Main reason is trade.

Suggestions to reduce trading time:
1. Prevent trade for any resource which currently doesn’t exist in the game.
1a. Or prevent trade for any group of resource that no single player currently possesses.
2. Any player which does not have the requested resources, automatically refuse, but still allow them to counter offer.
3. Allow active player to make multiple trade offers at the same time, rather than having to cancel one trade to make a new one.

Other time improvements:
1. If active player has 0 PLAYABLE development cards: roll dice immediately with no confirmation.

Great game; but can it be set up for 2 players also? Three is optimum and 4 makes it too difficult unless played on the expansion board

2p doesn't really work well unless each player controls 2 players. The Explorers and Pirates expansion does work well with 2p.

Thank you to all involved in making this available! I had amazingly never played Catan before as I typically can only play in-person games with a minimum player count of two, and I was always a little wary of negotiation games. Thanks to BGA, Catan has quickly become a favorite!

Can we have an option for playing with a deck of proper distributed dice rolls? Instead of the usual crazy random dice, which is the biggest thing preventing Catan to be truly enjoyable imp.
