No easy or direct way to correct penalty

Tried teaching a friend Chakra but at game start timer was running. Wanted to restart game by mutual agreement.
In an effort to restart the game in training mode and avoid timer penalties, inadvertently ended the game.
This earned me a -10 penalty for "Quitting" the game. Didn't quit, promptly and directly started a new game of Chakra.
A review of my gaming that day would show this clearly.

If there is an easy way to contest a penalty I have yet to find it. Really dislike immediate reprimand with no recourse.

You can contact support directly by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking "Contact us / Support" and then following the links to Reputation & Karma.

Although it left a sour taste in your mouth I personally wouldn't bother. I have no doubt they can fix it but your Karma will be restored naturally anyway by playing some more games. It's not like someone is going to see your 90% and decide they don't want to play with you.

In future the safe way to leave a game is to open up the menu and "Propose to collectively abandon game". If all players vote yes unanimously then the game ends.

There is an easy way: Play 10 more in games in time (and wait 60 days if you don't even want to see the penalty in the reputation history).

Having a bit fewer karma points and a note about 1 quit game on your profile barely changes anything for you on bga it disappears with time. Nobody will judge you for that.

It would be a much bigger inconvenience for admins to read your message, check if it's true and manually remove it than for you to just wait it out

Besides, it is true, you quit the game. Whether it was by mistake, or network issue, or your cat did it, or the other players agreed... it doesn't change the fact that you quit a game in progress. We all know those things happen.
