The parent company of BGA, Embracer based in Sweden, continues to do business in Russia despite the continued horrific war crimes perpetrated by Russia and continued support of Russian people. Russia is on the brink of being declared a terrorist state, yet Embracer continues to do business with Russians. With the recent publication of a video showing Russian forces castrate and execute a Ukrainian POW, just one example of the systemic war crimes perpetrated by Russian forces with the support of the Russian people, Embracer continuing to do business in Russia needs to be addressed.
First, I think EVERYONE should contact Embracer. Their executives information is available at the following address:
https://embracer.com/contact/
I have contacted them with the following guidance:
1. Ban Russian IPs and Russian flagged players from all of your services
2. Donate all revenue generated by Russian players to charities assisting Ukraine. Either defense or humanitarian. Inside Ukraine or refugee communities. Not just in premium subscriptions, but also fractional revenue attributable to all games in which Russian players have participated.
3. Issue a statement condemning Russia, outlining the actions you will take to rectify this situation, and apologizing for the tardiness of your response.
Additionally, when the automatic game finder gives you a list of players to accept or refuse, if any of the players are Russian flagged, I will refuse the matching. This will cause significant disruption to service and will make BGA nearly unusable for the Russian players if just 20% of players do likewise.
