The Small Trader occupation says "Each time you take a Major or Minor Improvement action to play an improvement from your hand, you also get 3 food."

However, this does not work for the Meeting place Minor Improvement action.

Does it only work for the Action space called "Improvements" in the online game (called "Major or Minor Improvement" in the board game)?
Does it also work for the House Redevelopment Major or Minor Improvement?

If it is only for the Action space called "Improvements," it should say something like "Each time you take a Major or Minor Improvement action space."

Well, my first guess would be that being allowed to only play minor is not a "minor or major" action, it is a "minor" one only.

It could be interpreted that it ONLY applies to minor cards...

How do you play a Major improvement from your hand? .. You can't. So a definite assumption there would be that it applies ANY time you take an action and play a minor improvement from your hand. There is no mention of action spaces, only the type of action you are taking.

That's exactly the effect of that card, i see very little ambiguity here : "play an improvement from your hand" => concerns only minors, and "Each time you take a Major or Minor Improvement" (notice the second part of the description is in Italic) => this bonus will only be available when taking an action where you can play both major and minor.
So it wont be the case for any action space or bonus from any other card that only grant you a "minor improvement action"

I dont understand, i am saying exactly the same thing as you about the card in hand thing, yet you seems to disagree.
And no, the italics mater a lot, it means that the whole block should be parsed as a whole.

ah ok (I read your post wrong), then it should be slightly more explicit.

I think the OP is also asking for confirmation that this will work for Renovation, which I guess it does, as long as you play a minor from your hand. Otherwise it's back to targeting the Improvements actions space only.

Indeed it should work with renovation, can't check the code right now but i am pretty confident about this.

It doesn't work. It's ambiguous and/or broken. Italics are not very important. The conjunction "or" is much more important.

This card functionality should be changed or the verbiage should be edited to indicate that it only applies to playing minor improvement cards from your hand after having triggered a M/m improvement space. There should be one clear meaning.

That's exactly what is written, the italics matter in the formating and display of the card description. If the card was triggered by any improvement space, it would just go "each time your take an __improvement__ action".
