Do not think it's a very spoken language

I prefer to add Thai, Catalá or Euskera.

Let's see. Your 10 million people who have studied it place it just above Kinyarwanda. But, 9,999,000 of those have another language as their mother tongue, so are more comfortable speaking in that language.

But, I'm sure the BGA administration wouldn't mind if you wanted to take on the responsibility of translating every string on the site so the language can be represented.

Ah, now I understand. Yes, there are some languages missing from the list of languages spoken. I was playing recently against someone, and translating all of my comments to Russian, as that is what was listed as their spoken language. It wasn't until they translated several comments from Russian that they told me that they didn't speak it -- it was the default language that popped up for them: they spoke Belarusian.

If a developer wants to add languages, Google Translate currently supports these 80 languages:
Afrikaans Albanian Arabic Armenian Azerbaijani Basque Belarusian Bengali Bosnian Bulgarian Catalan Cebuano Chinese Croatian Czech Danish Dutch English Esperanto Estonian Filipino Finnish French Galician Georgian German Greek Gujarati Haitian Creole Hausa Hebrew Hindi Hmong Hungarian Icelandic Igbo Indonesian Irish Italian Japanese Javanese Kannada Khmer Korean Lao Latin Latvian Lithuanian Macedonian Malay Maltese Maori Marathi Mongolian Nepali Norwegian Persian Polish Portuguese Punjabi Romanian Russian Serbian Slovak Slovenian Somali Spanish Swahili Swedish Tamil Telugu Thai Turkish Ukrainian Urdu Vietnamese Welsh Yiddish Yoruba Zulu

In the next release, all iso-639-1 languages will be available in the "spoken language" dropdown selection (so Esperanto will be selectable, as well as some other constructed languages).

That's a big dropdown in fact
