How to enlarge cards on the Android app

Post by T_saur »

Pretty straight foward. I mostly play through the BGA app on my phone and I can't find a consistent way to enlarge the bird cards on my phone.

I've tried tapping, double tapping, multi-tapping, and holding/long press and nothing brings it up. I was able to do it once or twice before but I can't remember how.

I'm playing the BGA app on Android and I have Chrome set to my default browser if that matters.

Long press worked for me on android to pull up the additional info and larger card

Most of the time however I just find myself zooming in on the smaller cards if I need to read them rather than using the long press

Long press also works for me, but it should be noted, the card tends to appear all or mostly off the screen to the right (so as not to block your game view, I assume). This means you need to move the screen so you can see the card.

Like Le0007n said, though, unlike some games, these cards are high resolution, so zooming in lets me see the cards and text just fine as well. I only long hold if I want the extra information that gives that isn't on the card (i.e., the further, appendix like, explanations of the text).

Related to this issue... As a completely new to the game player I'm finding the artwork/light colour scheme generally hard to see on my mobile. I know that one of the great things about the game is it's beauty but if there was an option for a simplified view with screen friendly (or let's face it older eyes) text I would certainly turn that option on. At the moment I'm not sure how much I'll play the game as the effort required to zoom in and out to read the cards and board is feeling a lot & definitely clouding my ability to figure out if I like the game under the aesthetics.

I'm really interested to hear how players that already know the game find this?

Also, thanks for the tips on zooming in to see the card details!
