Hi, I'm a board game lover in Japan. I had an annual premium account until 2022-10-15, but I failed to renew it due to a change in my main bank account.

I paid 3,240 JPY for a year premium last year, but BGA increased the price to 3,960 JPY after that. I want to change how to pay for premium, but if I do so, I need to cancel it and re-subscribe for the higher price.

Can I change how to pay without changing its price?

Same happened to me. From a short search in the forum here, it seems as if it is not wanted that you can update your billing details and thus stay in the old premium price subscription. It seems as if they want to force everyone to eventually be on the new price with this method.

Honestly, I would not have minded to pay a bit more as I really enjoy playing here and I understand if prices need to increase within reason over time. However, this way of treating us unequally, I do not appreciate at all. In short: People that still have their old billing details active, are financially privileged over those that have expired payment details.

Thanks for replying!

I also thank BGA for giving me opportunities to play some great games, and I feel the new price isn't too expensive for that excellent service. As you mentioned, I just thought this wasn't fair to all these paying users.

Anyway, I will pay the new price. I felt the inconvenience of being unable to make new tables of premium games such as Agricola.
