Since you are probably the minority opinion anyways, I don't think you are right to push your own opinions and views on everyone.

What are you even talking about? So far the settings and options are forced on my game play not the other way around. So you are saying that because a few Gurus that clearly seem to be similarly picked each arena season continue to pick settings that I don't find fun. I should just sit here and shut up because they clearly know what is better for the game than I do?

Wow talk about not understanding how any type of progress or change for things to get better works. And btw how am I pushing my own views and opinions on everyone? By making a forum post asking for things to be better?

Not once in this post have I said THESE SETTINGS ARE STUPID and they should only be the way I want them!! All I have said from the start is that they need to be more open and the Guru mechanic as a whole needs to be rethought as it clearly isn't working for the community as a whole.
I'm fine with a rotation of settings. Some seasons you get what you enjoy and others you don't, but to go over a year without change is wrong. To see it possibly happen for other games is wrong.

If that is pushing my opinion and views on everyone then we have two very different ways of thinking.

Again, these settings are not "forced on your game". They are the settings chosen for arena. Your games are completely unaffected and you can personalise them to your heart's content in the standard area. If you want to join in arena you are welcome to but you have to use the same settings as everyone else. Your complaint is that arena doesn't match your desired format. Tough. Why should the world bend to your expectations? Maybe just suck it up and accept you can't always get what you want?

I'm not going to continue this back and forth with you because obviously we have two VERY different opinions and seeing as how I find your take incredibly without any merits and really quite frankly short sighted, I'll go ahead and assume you feel that way about mine. So really no point in continuing something that the other person is so far removed from their POV.

I'll also assume that you probably have all the Arena settings to your preference so it probably is in your best interest to not have it improved or work better for the community as a whole as this would help explain your short sighted take. Especially since unlike some post similar to this subject matter, this one has only ever been about making it work better and for all not clamoring just to have my way.

You can already see in my posts that i don't like arena settings for several games. I just choose not to play arena for those, and understand that the wider community might have different preferences. It puzzles me that you seem unwilling to do the same.

Also you're coming across as rather irate and making comments that are sailing a bit close to the wind of what I understand is acceptable on the forums. You might want to dial it back a bit. It doesn't help your cause as people just see an angry poster and will stop listening to any point you're trying to make. Though from reviewing your responses to various people it's essentially you want arena to be 4p and therefore the system must be broken if other people might possibly choose to select 3p instead. It can't possibly be anything else...

For arena the answer is no because the point is everyone in arena should be playing the same format.

Well, my suggestion was to create two arenas for games with obviously large enough player base. Of course everyone in the arena should be playing the same format, but if one arena is "Carcassone 2p" and another is "Carcassone 3p", what's the problem?
