Definitely King of Tokyo.

I had played KoT twice before IRL on a boardgames night, but not much depth went into it. Maybe it sounded dull because it was the Dutch 1st ed. version, or not playing with the right people. Some explanation was missing.
I was very hesitant to learn new games here, so when I saw KoT published here a year ago, I jumped at.the chance to replay it, and instantly fell in love.

I went into the rulings, helped with some bugs, and saw expansion after expansion see the light of day.
At that moment I also realized I didn't own the game myself, and kind of went into a collectors frenzy. I now own everything that was easily commercially available of the series, and even went out of my way to go to Essen Spiel, just so I could get my hands first on King of Monster Island.

Playing King of Tokyo here has given me a sort of passion in life, something I was missing for a very long time.

Even after over 1000 games of it I still enjoy the strategy yet its not so complicated as to be a headache. Plus it plays very differently with different numbers of players so that keeps it interesting.
