My Eyes! Aghh! or A Polite Request for Dark Mode

I love everything here. It is all very, very good. But....

The screen is so bright. Maybe an ebony table in the background instead of a maple table? Maybe light text on a dark background?

On cloudy days I must run an electric light to make the room bright enough to be able to play without eye strain. Natural light can't compete with the blonde, maple world of BGA.

I know I can customize my experience with CSS. Theoretically, I can build a rocket ship out of tin cans too. But I'm not asking for rocket ships, just a button that says something like "Dark Mode" -- and then click DARK!

One of the most voted for bug reports/Dev requests going and according to their online Reddit q&a they are not doing anything about it for now so they can prioritise "user experience" (because viewing the site is apparently not part of the user experience you understand). TLDR: CSS is all you got for now.
