For months now I, and many of my co-players, have struggled to get any, or only very slooooooow, reaction from button-presses in the lobby. Selecting games in the (waiting) game list seems entirely impossible.
It takes ages to set up a game!
(Once we are actually in a game things are mostly OK though, but it takes ages to get that far.)

That sounds like a frustrating bug, but:

A) As Tisaac says, we cannot do anything about it as developers.

B) I have never heard of it until today. Is there a bug report created so we can vote on it? If it is affecting lots of people I would hope there is a report.

I too have noticed BGA has been really slow to load lately.

To those who say, "there's nothing we can do, we just work here." (Albeit in a different department perhaps). It would be great if you could just point out to your supervisors that:

A) this bug exists;
B) it has been raised by several people, several times in the right bug reporting forms;
C) it is not being acknowledged, let alone pick up and solved by the department responsible
D) you are now being pestered by the likes of me on this form, because people like me no longer know where else to go (I even posted in the CEO post earlier in the month!)
E) if this persists and happens to more and more customers without it being resolved, people will start leaving the platform and no longer recommending it to friends... no customers - no job. (See why you might still want to *do* something even though this strictly speaking is not your job?!)

Do you realize that game developers aren't hired by BGA, at most some of us are contracted to develop one game. And before you try to invoke semantics on that, those contracted developers aren't in any way permanently hired by BGA nor integrated to the team. They're just getting paid to develop a game, that's all. Otherwise we're just enthusiasts happy to offer our spare time to develop one or more games.

So when we say that as game developers there's nothing more we can do, it really means that. We have no power over the main site code. The only thing we can do is up vote bug reports the same as you, but we can't force BGA in any way to fix these bugs... We could threaten to stop developing games, but A) there are already a lot here, so no great impact for the foreseeable future, B) some other developer will most probably develop it regardless... So no real impact here...

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying it is your responsibility or in any way your mistake to correct... I am simply asking for your help 'as one player to another' if you like, but with you being the player with better connections and therefore more empowered to actually get the message accross to the powers that be on behalf of your fellow players who are not being heard.

If you really don't know of anyone who you could contact to push this ball further op the hill for us, then so be it. Then we both have a clean conscience knowing we've tried everything we possibly could.

Yes, I'm defensive... But your long list of how we could do things doesn't sound very friendly to me, especially if taking into account that you haven't taken the time to gather information about our status with regards to BGA (you could have read about it in the FAQ at the very least, or in the Alpha/Beta sub formus) ... We don't actually have more connections than you to the BGA Admins, who also lurk the forums and read the posts.

My two cents would be to contact the BGA Admins, which you're as able to do as any of us, through the support channel, and the bugtracker. Yes the bugtracker is filled with bugs that should be fixed. Some are even written by developers and impact their work. So it's frustrating even for us. But we don't have any more lever to push than you have...

You might think of hiring a single developer with the exclusive task of fixing the bugs of the various released games (or, at least, those that the developers no longer care)
