Dumb question about icons in game profiles (moon, specifically)

Post by Quintious »

Playing a Railways Tournament and the current player has a moon icon over both the hourglass and to the left of his total time remaining. I assume this is some sort of sleep mechanism that prevents the clock from running. What, specifically, is this if I'm wrong and, if I'm right, how do I toggle it? I've generally shied away from these tournaments because my turn comes up 30 minutes after I go to bed or something and I wake up and have burned hours and hours. If there's a way to mitigate that, I'd be into it.

It's a parameter set in tournaments where you have sleep hours. Check the tournament page of the game you saw it and you should see the time frame where players are considered asleep (it is shown based on your timezone).

Thanks for answering. I see it under "playing hours". It appears I've agreed to play from 6 pm to 6 am. Whoops.

Probably a tournament created by someone not on your timezone. Next time, check this information before registering ;)

Not only in tournaments, also in fast turn-based games.
