How to block unsollicitated & repeated friend request?

This sounds like a terrible bug! I've voted up that bug report you found and I hope BGA fixes it quickly

Personally I'd report the person and include a link to this thread and the bug report in the part where you explain why you are reporting them. This behaviour doesn't fit cleanly into any of the suggested categories that you can report someone for but I would make a report anyway (just pick the closest category & explain clearly in the section where you can make comments) because this is harassment and it's not okay.

If you already tried this and BGA did nothing, then I'm sorry. Harassment is something BGA says is they're against, and this is a pretty common method that harassers sometimes use to stalk their victims online so I really hope that BGA will recognise this particular type of harassment and promptly fix whatever loophole that's allowed it to occur. There is absolutely no reason why someone you have red thumbed should be able to send you a friend request.

Also I totally disagree with those who suggested you should just accept the friend request. That will probably only lead to worse harassment. People should trust their instincts around these kind of things, not be told to be friendly to someone who's harassing them!

Moderators have read this thread, and not responded to offer their input, or that they're looking into it.
Fine, that's their choice.

However, if it continues and borders harassment, action must be taken, and there is only 1 way how they cannot ignore the message.

If you were to name the culprit, they are forced to act upon it, first by removing your mention of their name, as it is not allowed. I don't condone this personally either to name and shame, but in this case, there is no other choice.
And as soon as they mod-edit your message and remove the name, they have no choice but to respond as they were now evidently caught having read this thread.

Don't name him yet, give the moderators another couple of days to respond, to prevent them having to mod-edit your messages. Allow them to resolve the situation in good faith.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We agree, players who you have given a Red Thumb should not be able to send you a friend request. For now, we suggest leaving the request open and unanswered to prohibit them sending another.

It was indeed a quick fix, now that they suddenly took action.

I do wonder if the action was planned anyway, or whether the action suddenly got escalated after my suggestion to a "threat".
We'll just believethat BGA did what they were supposed to, regardless of my message.

How many Red Thumbs is a player allowed before they receive "the Black Ball" (death)
