Hello,

there are several mis-translations and minor spelling errors in the validated German Seasons translation. (I've counted 6 on page 3/7 alone.)
I'd like to fix them.

kind regards

Hello,

Sorry for reviving old thread, but there are wrong translations for Bahasa Indonesia, and it's already validated. I can fix them if they're unlocked...

Is it possible to preview where the strings would be on the site so that the translators would know what's the context?

Also, the datetime format is broken, where to fix this?

Thanks

Hi Aurodeus,

I updated your account so that you can update validated translations (it may need logging off then back on).

It's not possible to preview strings like you suggest, in fact a feature like this would be quite daunting to implement ;)
Our suggestion for efficiency is to make the most straightforward translation (which will be correct most of the time), then when noticing errors later on while playing or browsing the site, to search for the faulty string and fix it.

To fix the date format string, you can search for the 'm/d/Y' string for the main site module in the translations headquarters. Formatting instructions follow php date() conventions.

Thanks for your interest in helping with translations!

Cheers,

Hey,

in the english version of Niagara it says
${player_name} changes his mind and play another paddle card
.
But it should obviously be "plays".

hello,

I also saw a few validated translations in the Japanese translation in the Main site section.
You should change it to:
"Board Game Arena Newsletter" --> "ボードゲームアリーナ・ニュースレター"
"Club Board Game Arena" --> "ボードゲームアリーナクラブ"
"Translate Board Game Arena" --> "ボードゲームアリーナの翻訳"

or

Can I have the ability to update validated strings?

Hello northtopia7,

As you have more than 100 validated translations, you should be able to update validated strings (you may need to logout/login to update your user rights). If not, please tell me so that I can fix it.
Thanks for your help in making the translations better !

Cheers,
