Language is a source of misunderstanding. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery: The Little Prince) But it is also the source of understanding - it all depends on how you use it. :-)

Then it would be better to add slower mode like "1 move a week" or maybe "1 move for 2 weeks" (I guess that "1 move for 1 month" is really too slow but maybe there are some people interested in).
This seems very reasonable. I doubt I would wish to ever play with such settings, but if some people do, then why not allow it?

I actually think this is tied in to the general question of how time settings are devised for different games. If one were to look at an online chess or draughts website, one would find a very wide variety of customizable time controls, from 1 minute bullet games up to classical and even correspondence time controls. There is a very great deal of flexibility in setting your time controls for games like those. Here on BGA, for as long as I've been playing, there have only been 3 possible real-time time controls. They are usually rather odd figures (e.g. 2:47 +0:39 per move) where no one is really sure how those numbers were arrived at. I think it's worth switching to allowing a more customizable time control, so that players can play true bullet games (e.g. 15 seconds per move) or very lengthy time control games (e.g. 120 minutes per side).

This discision to end no time limit games is very grevios to me it is the main way I play games on here.

My willingness to cintinue support of this site depends on how this issue is resolved, please expidite resolving this issue quickly, not bieng able to start new tables means I will be using this site less and less as curent tables end

What an awful change that does nothing but hurt paying customers like me who play a ton of games with friends only no time limit. I'll never understand why companies think removing options for consumers/players is a good idea or "solution" to a problem nobody had or asked for.

This is true.

This not true. It is possible for it to be an awful solution to a real problem.

Just because the way things worked before didn't personally impact you doesn't mean no one had issues with it. They just addressed it in a way that created orders of magnitude more ill will than whatever grief they were receiving from people who wanted a change.
