How do I get in contact with BGA to make a complaint? I am new and was enjoying playing after getting used to penalties and delays, I built my rating back up. I then encountered a player that was completely inappropriate in the chat to me. I have now got a reputational penalty. This just does not seem right.

Reading between the lines, did you quit the game because of that person's behavior? If so, you will take a karma hit. I'm sorry you experienced that, but unfortunately your only option in that situation other than quitting is to finish the game, then report the player (go to their profile and click the "Report this player" button). Maybe tape a piece of paper over the chat so you can't see it until the game is over.

There is a "contact us / support" link at the bottom of every page as well. But that is not where you report inappropriate behavior.

How can you ask for a monetary participation when people are mean waiting until last second to play and then you give them more minutes! then I have in my profile requested NOT to play with people that have under 50% karma, but I still do! these people should not be able to play!!!
Fix those problems first then you may get some support!

This is how time works in all game outside of tournaments. There is a maximum amount of time a player can have on their clock, and your opponent is allowed to use every second of it whether you like it or not. There is also an increment so that every turn people have at least some time to think. If you think the time is too long, filter your games to only play fast real time. If that is still not fast enough for you, you can go vote for the site suggestion to make a time setting even faster than the current "fast" setting.

There may be a miscommunication, because you don't make this setting on your profile page. There are a couple issues you may be having:
1) You have to set the karma filter for each game, as there is no global filter.
2) I assume you selected I never want to play with players with a very bad reputation (< 50☯) and not "I prefer not to play with."
3) People have been complaining that settings made on the single-game start page don't seem to work. This is possibly because the Locked/Flexible slider under "Game speed" actually applies to all the advanced settings, but I've not seen confirmation of this from an admin.
4) These reputation filters don't work for tournaments. I'm not sure about Arena.

I used to love to play on this site with my long distance partner. We started playing when this site was still new and loved the idea of being able to play board games together.
Since then this site has loaded more and more things behind the premium pay wall. I understood when it had to do with getting the game licenses and what not, even as the games I loved previously slowly became premium after not being.
Except now that I have paid the government to immigrate to live with my now husband, we can't even play not premium games in the same room without a freaking pay wall! When will this site reward people who have stuck with it? When will it care about its players and not just all the money the can squeeze out of us?

Why do you think this site owes you something? The site has exactly one payment. You don't make it and so you don't get access to the features associated with it.
