Game starts before player count reached

Not for the first time I´ve set up a 4p game, but when it starts there´s only a second player in there. I am definitely not interested in 2p games. Why are these games starting at all when the player count has not been reached?

The person who opened the table can (manually) start the game whenever the minimum number of players is reached. You should be able to decline starting the game if you don't want that player count.

Well, I am the person who opened the table and I didn´t start the game manually.

When I put in a player count of 4, does that mean up to 4 and the system at some time starts automatically with lower player count? The whole lobby is so confusing. When I watch the system searching for players I could see that my parameters are changing (in particuar my time settings). Maybe it is changing the player count, too, at some time to force me to play something I don´t want???

If it's a very popular game, where players are constantly joining and quitting tables, it could be that 4 players joined the table, triggering the table start, but some quit before you got to the start screen. There seems to be some kind of race condition there.

Are you using the new lobby (via the game page) or the old lobby (via play now)?

I wasn´t aware, that the old one was still available and, therefore, I used the new one. I will definitely go back to the old one which I find way superior.
