Seasons: Enchanted Kingdom - 10 new cards!

Post by sourisdudesert »

Board Game Arena and Libellud are happy to propose you to try 10 additional cards from the Seasons expansion "Enchanted Kingdom".

A big Thank You for your 2500 likes on Libellud Facebook page that allow us to have this expansion here!

All 20 power cards from the expansion are now on BGA, with exciting new cards like "Shield of Zira" (that you can sacrify instead of another card, like a Potion) or Raven the Usurper (which allows you to copy a Magical Item in play).

But there are many more things in Enchanted Kingdom: Enchantment cards that can completely change the game rules, special capacity tokens, and some nice material to enhance your Seasons game. Learn everything about Seasons "Enchanted Kingdom" expansion.

The 10 new cards:
_ Fairy Monolith
_ Selenia’s Codex
_ Scroll of Ishtar
_ Mesodae’s Lantern
_ Statue of Eolis
_ Io’s Transmuter
_ Potion of Resurrection
_ Shield of Zira
_ Argos Hawk
_ Raven the Usurper

A big Thank You to Libellud for this expansion. We wish that your next expansion for Seasons ("Path of Destiny" - March 2014) will be as exciting as this one!

is there a reason why only the new card are implemented instead of just the whole expansion if the expansion is already out?

it just seems kinda weird to do it this way...

The Enchantment Cards

The Argos forest is a very old forest protected by ancient and powerful enchantments.

Enchantments change the rules of the Twelve Seasons Tournament, and so to win, you will need to adapt!

Season: Enchanted Kingdom offers ten Enchantment cards, and you can choose whether or not to play with them. At the beginning of the game, an Enchantment card is drawn or chosen by the players. This card will apply for the entire game, and change the rules of Seasons, forcing everyone to play with the new rule.

You will have to adapt and break old habits to become the next Archmage of the Xidit Kingdom!

An Enchantment card might change the setup rules – altering the way you draft and establishing your strategy early on – or change a rule of the tournament. For instance, the Enchantment might promote crystallization or make it very dangerous to root around in the draw pile.

Play with all the different Enchantment cards and experiment with many new strategies!

Special Tokens Capacity

Seasons: Enchanted Kingdom offers you the chance to customize your mage with a unique ability that you can use once at any time during your turn.

There are 12 chips, each unique. Before performing the prelude, each players receives three special ability tokens at random, and as the prelude concludes, they must each discard two of those abilities, keeping just one and placing it on their special board.

Each token gives the player a distinctly original effect – receive energy, discard or sacrifice a power card, look at the top card of the deck. In addition, the players will win or lose Prestige points when the game ends, depending on whether or not they used their tokens.

The special abilities give you a way to take control of the game if you need it – pull yourself out of a bad play, give yourself a boost, or just turn the game to your favor.
from what i understand none of this is implemented on BGA,once again i understand "don't look at a gifted horse mouth" but i still don't understand the logic beneath it

Well, there is no weird logic: we only implemented the new power cards, and we want to make sure that you know that there is more than new power cards on the real Echanted Kingdom expansion.

well yeah but this is a first time something has been only half implemented so that's why i'm asking in the first place... was it because libellud gave the okay only for the cards? you guys didn't want to do it whole because it would require reworking more stuff? my OCD must know :D

Well, I could give other examples of games/expansions we did not implement totally.

As long as the result is coherent there is no reason why not doing this. And if this can incite some players to buy the complete expansion... then this is good for them, for BGA and for the publisher :)

And to answer directly: it is possible that the whole expansion come to BGA... and it is possible that it won't ;)
