at the start of the game , i said " we are 2 platine players at 0 points , lets help the golden player at 9 points to lvl up " , the other platine players said oki, lets see how it goes ...... so i played to help the golden player to win against me , then the other player ( Makepie ) did n't like this and red thumbed me because he loose .... the golden player lvl up , all was cool unteal Makepie didn't like to loose ..... at the start of the game every player agreed to play like this , but one changed his mind , Makepie , & just red tumb me , for some reasons that i don't know ' ... i played fair , helping the other player to get ressources ..... i had a - 40% reputation , thats so unfair and really , when u play with friends around a table , always there is some things like this ( give me one straw & i give u 10 wood to cut the road of the other player ) thats reality , some play with discord & don't have problems ,some play with the ingame audio & never have problems to play in team against one player .... u really need to have a better way to make games fair , stop allowing discord or in game audio .... or allow players to help each others in tchat without sanctions ..... (when i say sanctions , it's from other players , being red thumbed to help someone to lvl up should not be allowed ) the game will grow up with more elite players

I'm sorry, you got it wrong. Playing to help another player win is "kingmaking", it's not allowed, and it's a cause for sanctions. Raising to elite (or whatever high level) is something each player should earn by themselves, not a right you should help others with.

From the FAQ:

On Board Game Arena, you should not:
[...]
Engage in Kingmaking: enabling another player to win on purpose while there is a better move to make for yourself.
[...]
Breaking these rules will affect your reputation.

Can someone help me how to improve my reputation please. I blocked some players on Ticket to Ride ( some of The top 10 champions taught me to do that in order to win) and I can play with 60 % anymore. Noone wants to play with me. Please private message me with some advice.

icibici, your reputation is low because you got a -30 karma penalty by a moderation 44 days ago and a penalty (perhaps -20 karma?) for not finishing a game 10 days ago.

Even if a player gave you a (private) red thumb, that should cost you no penalty. With a karma of 61 you can still play some short games. If you finish them you should be back to 100 fast enough.

Players on discord play together , unfair for the third player .... i hv help a player & being honest with the other player , u say kingmaking i say fair playing .... around a table with friends , don't u help sopme or another ?? u say this board is a friendly space , like if u play with friends ..... when u play with friends u don't always want to win , often just playing & giving points to friends is a good way to have fun , u should lower ur sanctions , except in arena competition ..... playing for fun , not to be sanctionned to help another ....

If you want to set up a training table restricted to friends only there are options for doing this. Then you can kingmake and otherwise collude to your heart's content.

When the table is open to all players, they don't have a choice about whether to consent to your kingmaking and have a right to expect the other players are abiding by the site rules.

Kingmaking is no fair play.

If you want to help other players and they want you to help them, there's a lot of better ways to do so. You can teach them how to play, show them strategy guides and so on. You can even play a not so optimal strategy to make winning easier for them.

If you're intention is to bring more fun in their life, that's nice, but you should do that on a private table without other people you don't know and without any impact on ELO or arena points. You're not doing them a favour if you boost their ELO and you're betraying all other participants of the arena.
