Moderators still monitoring the thread I see, but continuing to ignore the actual questions and feedback

I'd reported that post, so that may be what got their attention as opposed to active monitoring. Maybe the strategy is to wait for people to tire out and forget about the thread?

The moderators job is to care about inapproriate behaviour, not user requests.

What we are missing here is further commentary by BGA management. The ones who said "We care for our customers"!

Many of us have offered other options if you can't bring it back to the way it was....how about more long term playing times? Maybe for those of us who do not play (or cannot play due to lack of internet) every day...give us the option for 1 turn per every 7 days?

That would satisfy a lot of these complaints including mine! Of course, I would much rather have it back the way it was, but I am willing to take what I can get...and a 1 turn every 7 days option would sure help.

I teach BGA at my public library, we use it for our weekly gaming programs and none of us want to use Training mode unless we are playing an Alpha game. But since my library is in a rural area, most patrons do not have internet except when they visit the library once a week during programs. We have lost many players due to this, please help us!

This makes no sense, you only have to play one move every 28 days and no-one (neither the admins or other players) have any idea why you won't just play in training mode, which works identically to other modes on the site for almost every game. The forums used to be routinely full of players who had encountered abuses of the no time limit function. You cannot expect the site to undo a fix for a problem simply because a tiny minority of players demand they do so for reasons no-one outside that minority can follow.

I'm outside that minority and I can follow ;)

Also "routinely full of players who..." is a bit of an exaggeration imo. There were not nearly as many complaints about no-time-limit-abuse as there are now about the lack of the option. And it wasn't a problem anymore at all after it was made friends-only.

I think a 1 move / week option would be a great solution for most of the cases and it does not interfere with the apparent admin's vision of use of the time-setting-bar.
But as a side-note: I question this vision a bit because if I were new and I wanted to use a Training mode (that has no rating involved and allows me to leave mid-game) for Training purposes - I wouldn't exactly search for it within the time settings.
