One guy is proposing to collectively abandon at beginning of the game regularily.

A player called * is proposing to abandon wingspan games at the beginning. In past 3 days he has succesfully collectively abandoned 5 wingspan games and 1 seven wonders game. Yesterday in Wingspan he said that he "has to go" and proposed to collectively abandon a game after seeing his starting hand. Today he tried the same thing, but i refused, so he just let his time run out and i had to expel him.

Its pretty obvious to me that hes looking at starting hands and if he doesnt like, he propose to abandon to not lose rating points and only plays hands that are good for him. That sounds like cheating to me.

I tried to report him to moderators but there doesnt see an option from available buttons which adress this kind of abuse. As buttons explained to me i gave him thumbs down and avoided him in future. But i dont think this is sportsmen-like/good-manner action and he should be warned at least if not punished.

He tryed to cheat me today as he did yesterday, but i saw through him. I might not next time or another player might not.

EDIT: He has played only 50 games total, so its a new account. Was the old one banned?:D

1) This player is obviously gaming the system (pun intended), but I'm guesssing the reaction from site admins will be that there is already a remedy for this behavior: expelling them when they time out. But if you really want to report it, somewhere an admin gave instructions for how to report things that don't fit in one of their predefined boxes (I'm not sure which terms to use to search for it).

2) Be careful calling out specific players as cheaters (no matter how well-deserved you think it is). That is one thing that will consistently get you moderated.

You may be referring to the incident from last year with the one player who was ruining basically ALL of the turn based race for the galaxy tournaments. This eventually got reported when I gamed the report system by writing my moderation report in the forum and then reporting the player in question for "inappropriate forum behavior" and linked to my forum post. After this got a fair bit of attention, the BGA devs eventually did something about the lame duck tournament participants (you are now automatically expelled for timing out to the point of abandoning the game two rounds in a row).

All of that said, the admins did NOT offer any recourse for reporting stuff like this which does not fit the predefined boxes (and in fact, as I found, several of the options they do give, not just "none of the above", gives a dead end). As far as I can tell, this has not changed. The workaround probably still works though, but you should expect to face moderation for necessarily calling out the target player. That said, I do not think the described behavior is against BGA regulation, although it perhaps ought to be for arena games.
