How was I expelled from a game when I had full time?

Post by RiggerRabbit »

Someone please explain why I was kicked from a game when I had full time and forced to take a loss and also forced to take reputation penalty. That's so unfair and unjust.

Is this a bug or something?

Rarely, there is a desync between your computer and the server.

When someone start to think 'too much', refresh the page, and if it's still the turn of someone else, telll it in chat.
That reduces that problem.

I'd probably open a bug. Looking at your last game (356233936), I cannot understand either how - at least looking in the logs of the game replay - you were expelled like 50 seconds after game start when initial time is ~³ min...

The same happened to me. It was the other guy who had connection problems and let his time run, and I am declered the loser with a loss in score and reputation !

Well, I'm not coming back to this site. Ever.

Farewell then. I guess you never used a piece of software with a flaw? :?

Peut-on bloquer l'arène ?

I had this happen the other day. My game hadn't updated for some reason (probably not a connectivity issue, more likely a framework issue). After waiting for the other player for a while, I realized that I should try refreshing. Then saw that it was actually my turn and he was waiting on me even though it hadn't looked that way....

Guys, please please go here and open a bug report and link to the exact games where this happened.

You do everyone a big favor in that way. Otherwise nothing is going to change.

We should do that, but I'm not convinced it will change anything.
With my knowledge, it seem to happen when two actions happen at the same time. And this kind of stuff is really hard to correct.

In one game of the crew deep sea, I tried to autoplay my card, got an error message (two actions at the same time), then it was still another player's turn. I refreshed immediately, and it was in reality my turn.

In one game (and only one), one player took too much time. So I refreshed. At the exact time I refreshed, that player do his action (and I didn't knew it). On my screen, it was still his turn since the server was refreshing the page and not checking for turns played. After one more minute I asked in chat or refreshed, and it was my turn (I checked all player's time, that's how i know that).

Like I said, it's a rare bug, maybe once every 100 or 200 games.
