Losing XP

This isn't a big deal or anything, more curiosity, but I've noticed my XP fluctuates up and down. I understand how it goes up, but what is the trigger for it to go down? For example, between yesterday and today I went from 4352 to 4319.

I'm like a cat...very curious...

Some trophies and XP can disappear if a game is removed (or put back to alpha, I guess), or if its competitive features are disabled. You can also lose trophies due to moderation penalties.

It would be nice to know where the xp loss comes from though. I assume one would be notified when losing xp from a loss of trophies due to moderation penalties? But other than that, no way to know where a certain xp loss comes from?
