This is a very interesting idea. I'll try sky chat. I also think it would be a good idea to get some sort of chat feature where languages can be translated, for those times when people from different countries are playing together but cannot communicate. While I would love to learn all the languages, many people aren't like that.

At last, chatbots get put to REAL use! Next up, how about an AI that points out all the best moves for your games (Premium only, naturally...) :D

With all the new advances in AI and ChatGPT released recently, you had me genuinely fooled for a lot longer than I will admit!

Great April Fools joke :D

Is there a way to decide that you do not want to play with players who use this option?

April 1st is April Fool's Day in many countries. Here in Brazil too. It can only be this.

So many replies here about it being early/wrong day.

Hey gang, especially those in the 'centre of the known universe' (usa): Time zones exist, and if you happen to be in the Americas then your zone is negative, indicating about half the planet will arrive into the next day before you -- in some cases by up to around 17 hours! (Difference between American Eastern Time @ -5 and New Zealand standard time @ +12)

I see no problems here... https://i.imgur.com/JvaHDv2.png

[However, just in case somebody at BGA will ever happen to think that this might be a good idea (even without a flirting option), they would also need to implement an option to filter out all other players with this setting enabled when looking for opponents for regular or Arena games.]
I’m seriously hoping you are right that this is an early April Fool’s day joke. If not, as explained, there are so many things left uncovered. They’d need to mark ai messages as written by ai.

On top of the glaring missteps, this is a horrible idea to begin with. Making friends with someone who is not actually typing sounds deceitful. Assuming users know it is ai doing the talking, it would actually make people less likely to talk to others.

Oh, and can we talk about this mess:
we should recall you that at the end, you are accountable of everything that has been said by you on BGA, even if the messages has been written by ShyChat.
