Game time question

Post by justanotherjo »

So I had a game I am playing where the game timer started at 2 days. I was away and the timer ran negative. I have since been making moves at least 2 per day, yet the time seems to be going down even further. I was a -6 minutes last night when I played, and this morning it's at nearly -30. I don't get it. It's like it's not adding time back.

Which game? It may be a bug in that particular game, which you should report: https://boardgamearena.com/bugs

Is it maybe a tournament game? In tournaments you do not get your time increased per move, but it is the total time for the complete game from the beginning on.

It looks like https://boardgamearena.com/6/azul?table=358655109 is the game. It's set for 2 moves a day. What that means is that every time it is your turn, 12 hours is added to your clock. Looking at the log, there seems to be many instances where you have taken longer than 12 hours to make your move and that is the only move you make that day.

If you regularly have a gap of over 12 hours when you don't check your moves, the other players' schedules can sometimes work out so that you eventually run out of time.
