How do you leave feedback on tutorials?

Post by Chucklepie »

Hello,
Subject says it really, how do you leave feedback other than the star rating, which is pretty pointless when you're trying to provide assistance to the author, especially Alpha tutorials, as a low/middle rating star means nothing to the author or any reader?

I wanted to play a game, found it in the alpha section and gave up and went and read the manual, as it was lacking in quite a few areas that could easily improve it. I had a ton of feedback to make it better but nowhere to put it :(

As an aside, I won't go into how hard it is to find this 'all tutorials' page, it's as if BGA don't want you to know there's a list of all tutorials including those in alpha ;)

The bug system has a 'suggestion' option.

But bug reports (or suggestions) won't reach the tutorial authors. I think the only way is to message directly the author, or post in the relevant game forum.

You are right, Jellby: The best way is to directly message the author of the tutorial.

@Chucklepie: Thank you for your contribution! If you want to know about new tutorials you could join the group of Tutorial Makers https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=10196677. You don't have to make tutorials to join. Any help (like rating and giving feedback) will be highly appreciated!

@cigma, my last quip was just about how difficult it is to find this page, even if you know it exists, it's pretty hard to find:
https://boardgamearena.com/tutoriallist ... n=allgames

You'd think BGA would want people to find alpha tutorials (e.g. by putting a link in the game and stating it's an alpha tutorial) :)
