Create table for others but you

Post by Ilmion »

We want to organize a live event for our youtube channel and allow fans to join games with our youtubers. I would like to act in the shadows and create the games for the youtubers and other player to play wiithout taking part in the game. Is this possible?

I already think that atleast to prevent random player to joint, we will create a group and add this group to the table restrictions.

Yeah, a feature like this would completely circumvent the requirement for a premium player to create a table. That requirement is from the game publisher, not BGA.

Well, there would be ways to still enforce the premium requirement on premium games but still allow to create tables for others:

1. Allow to create tables for others only for non-premium games.
2. Check that at least one premium player is present when game is started. Otherwise give an error message and don't start the game. When the premium table creator leaves the table, give him and all players joining the game a note that the table cannot be started unless another premium player joins.

But probably it would be annoying to have open tables sitting around, where random people can join but the table cannot be started due to premium players missing. So maybe it is a bad idea to allow this. Or maybe it could be allowed for tables with group restrictions, so that it will not affect random players but only ones which are made aware in the group about this.

Can't a premium member create a tournament for a premium game that non-premium players can enter?

I think you would just need to share the password to the account(s). You log in from your PC and set up the table and rules and whatnot and then they log in from their PC and actually play.

I think you can create table, let the youtuber with premium account join, and then leave the table so people can join?

No, when there are no premium players at the table, the table is closed.
