Posibility to react on kingmaking

There is, as far as i can see, no way to react on kingmaking.
Bga Faq says: "The best way to prevent so-called "kingmaking" is
to give out red thumbs. There is no point in reporting a player in
this case: please just give the player who was involved in the unfair game a red thumbs down."

This is not really useful, because the cheaters are stil able to cheat.

Could you post a link to where you got that FAQ quote? Because the FAQ link at the bottom of this page does not include that statement. It says that kingmaking is against the code of conduct. https://boardgamearena.com/faq?anchor=f ... sofconduct

Kingmaking is a reportable offense. However, be careful. Many people have claimed kingmaking with "PlayerA did something that allowed PlayerB to leap ahead of me and win." This is not inherently kingmaking. Kingmaking would only be if PlayerA had an obvious move that would benefit themselves more, but chose to benefit PlayerB instead. Too many false claims of kingmaking can get the person doing the reporting punished.

I think the OP's quote comes from the text that appears if a user tries to report it. The option for "kingmaking" is in the report list but when you select it the auto-reply is the dismissive text the OP quoted. So you can't actually report kingmaking. In other words BGA don't care enough to look into it so won't allow people report it. Presumably at one time they did but then presumably it became too much hassle with false reports as suggested which made them change it at some point? idk I'm not involved with BGA. Seems odd to have the option but then close it off like they do.
