Ticket to ride

Post by debkaz »

I have a few questions. I’m new to this site. I own 3 T2R games. I’ve registered them. My sister has 2 games &registered hers. My friend doesn’t own any games but would love to play online. My sister & I can play against others, but my friend cannot. It keeps telling her to pay for premium membership. She doesn’t want to pay. My sister & I can play against her online, but she cannot play others that are online. Why not.

Also, I was under the assumption that I could play any of the games I own &registered. I only see that I can play the original game. Can’t I play Europe? I registered that one.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know how you register a game here. Never seen something like that.

Usually, when you have an account here, you can play all games that are available on this platform. Some games (like Ticket to Ride) are premium games. That means, only someone paying for a premium account can open a table. Others can still join open tables and play, but they cannot create games themself.

For Ticket to Ride there is only the "original" variant with the american map available currently. No other variants are published on this site, so you can only play the original one.

You may be confusing BGA with another site, perhaps the publisher's site. There's no need to own or register games here.

Playing ticket to ride on the * site required registering I think and they definitely had more maps than just the USA map. However it's been so many years since I used it that I don't even know if it still exists now.

*Moderator edit: please do not name other gaming websites on BGA.

I believe you register them with the publisher site, not here. BGA only has the USA base map at the moment and you need a premium account to start the game but a non premium can join the game.

I’m not sure the publisher site is even still active for playing? If so it doesn’t have much of a player base and it always had bugs imo. There is also another site where you can play a good chunk of them but you have to buy them all individually and that can be expensive compared to just buying premium here and getting access to so many other games as well as the ease of using this site from phone/tablet/website and not needing to install anything.

Could it be the Asmodee offer for his BGA company ? https://www.google.com/amp/s/venturebea ... games/amp/
OP mentions TTR Europe https://www.unboxnow.fr/
https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... ilit=Unbox

Seems the game flyer is not very clear (OP expected to play TTR Europe, but BGA doesn't feature it, still the PR mentions "that specific title"), and no communication has still not been made here (are bga mods aware about that offer? I saw they edited one post above but OP question remains unanswered)
