Convicted cheaters left unpunished in Arena

Post by bckgmn »

Some cheaters have been identified in Backgammon Arena, reported and convicted guilty by BGA.

We are surprised to realize BGA doesn't take action on those players who are unpunished and still standing at the same leaders positions in backgammon arena. I guess the case didn't get to their ears yet and stayed on automatic or low moderation not realizing what is involved .

Those players were reported last season as well after realizing they managed to play 48 times in a row against each over in Arena mode when the principle is not being able to chose your opponent. One of them won 48 games against 0 and none of this 48 game was played until the end.
Reported AND convinced guilty, their penalty was (only?) to start arena mode from scratch.

The problem is that we now see them again in top postions this current season, we look into it and guess what? Yes they are doing it again. All were reported and convicted guilty again but with this time with NO penalty!
The message from BGA is:
"Note : This player has been punished for this in another report. We close this report as we do not punish the same person twice for the same fault. "

Those players are still in the top 10 of Backgammon Arena, their names standing proud on the game home page with absolutely no merit but corrupting the system and accounts, disrespecting BGA and 99,99% of players. Please BGA don't let us think you tolerate cheating or manipulating games letting them leading the board when it's all based on manipulated games, with multiple accounts and kingmakers

I would certainly share details about the accounts concerned and their practices to BGA and ore evidence than needed.

It's been going on for weeks now and it would be good not to let such players or practices lead the scoreboard on top of honest and friendly players.

Apart from that,Thanks for the fun!

Very impressed with BGA reaction overnight.
Within less than 24 hours after the initial post, BGA moderated the case and did great. Main accounts concerned did get penalty for their attitude.

Thanks a lot!

We have the same problems at coinche, in simple and in arena, and except of 1 ban, the sevral accounts are said "guilty but without penalty". It's incredible!

This is sill continuing - there's a hack to change the dice results. I'm being beaten by forty+ points while I never missed a go for losing a counter to the centre. This has happened multiple times that there's no point in playing.

I'm closing my account as a site that has a hacking issue and doesn't deal with it in a year doesn't care and just wants your money.
