Interesting Stat

I did the math and so far in my 10 games completed 7 has rolled 29% of the time 195/672. Anyone else notice this or is my sample size to small to consider? I say this NOT as a complaint. Rather as an observation Complaining is not fun or productive. I understand the basics of probability and statistics. It's more productive to use the data to adjusted my play. Improvise adapt and overcome. Happy settling all

You have miscounted and I explain below my theory why this has happened. But now to the numbers (I also included your last, i.e. the 11th game):

Total: 116/712 = 16,29%

So in your games 116 7s were rolled out of 712 total rolls. The expected value of 7s is 16,67% and 16,29% is pretty close - considering that the data is still from a small sample.

Excluding your 11th game, it is 103 7s out of 651 rolls, i.e. 15,82%.

Since you give a number of rolls of 672 which is pretty close to my count (one of us two did a small error there, it could have been me) the problem is obviously your definitely wrong assumption of having rolled 195 7s. It is obvious that you fell into the common trap to believe that the given stat numbers are absolute numbers - but they are percent values! So if the statistic says 19, that does NOT mean that you rolled 19 7s but that you rolled 19% 7s!

Be assured that many users before you have already misinterpreted these statistics because they are indeed not well presented...
