Choosing first 4 cards

I am playing using a cell phone.
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I'm unable to pick my first four cards.
I double tap them, single tap them, drag them to various points on the screen, but nothing seems to work.

What am I doing wrong? How can I choose my first four cards and start the game on my cell phone?

I've never had a problem on my cell.

My memory may be fuzzy, but I think you single click each one (and they get highlighted with a border, maybe green?), then maybe click the confirm button?

It isn't anything complicated, though.

I've been having problems selecting cards on mobile (Android) as well. It may be a bug on Android if that's what you're using too OP. I'm usually able to get them to select eventually by tapping several times, moving around the screen, sometimes going out to the main screen and back into the game to get the cards to select.

I am using an Android phone. S22 Ultra.

I attempted to try your suggestions Speedy, but unfortunately nothing worked. I switched to my PC at home and that worked just fine. I'm hoping the rest of the game will work from my phone. But if not, I will just take less turns per day, waiting to use my PC.

just for your information: i played on my android phone several times and had not problems at all selecting cards

Just disable the sorting hand setting. It's not working properly on some devices for unknown reasons
