ELO score and algorythm

Post by Ravtar »

Hi,
I love this site because we have a large choice of games.
I have question, because I remarked that when we win several times to a game, ELO jump. But after some games, nothing, we loose and loose! because we don't have the card that we want, not the good dice etc...
Have you confirgured the algorythm in that way? if yes, i suggest to modify it a little bit...
Thanks
Fredo (a little bit frustrated on some "lucky" games with cards or dices)

Elo is not suitable for games with a significant luck factor. It's better to just not take your elo seriously. It would be too much effort to develop and implement something else.

No, there is nothing like this, if u get a loss streak you are either being unlucky or not playing optimally

First it was the elements, then it was the gods, then it was the spirits, then it was the "quantum", now it's the algorithm... still ways to refer to what others call "luck".
