Train Ticket Selection for different ranks

Hello. I have recently been playing a lot of 3 player games on Ticket to Ride. I am considered a 'Strong Player' and I occasionally get matched up with players that have an ELO between 100-150. When selecting train tickets at the beginning, I have recently noticed that the highest point ticket I'd get is around 13, whereas the lower ranked players get 18-22 point tickets. Has anyone else has this experience? Does the game try to make it harder on higher ELO players than lower ELO players? Does anyone have any proof of this they can also share or where if this is written somewhere? Thank you!

This is totally random, and the game doesn't know your ELO score when you play (you could be playing in training mode where there is no ELO).

Hi, this is just a wrong impression based on a small sample size and powered by some various cognitive biases like confirmation bias or negativity bias.
In fact, just as thoun said, the game code doesn't even interact at all with the Elo rating which is handled by BGA infrastructure only.


Small unsolicited advice: for a better experience don't play 3p TTR*. 2p or 4+p are way better

*(unless you play Switzerland or Nordic maps, which are atm unavailable on BGA)
