I would have a different scenario for the second round, but it can be done only manually counting the results. I made a suggestion of more flexible tournament system:

How would you change the Tournament to avoid too many games on the same scenario?

The Kaverit Memoir 44 Tournament

Vote for the future tournaments :
1. Amount of players on first round (full round) 4-15
2. Amount of players on final round (full round) 4-15
3. Amount of players continuing to final round from each group 2-7
4. Good scenarios for the tournament (the NAME of the scenario, not just the style of it) - a good scenario is not too dependent of luck and it is considered fun and interesting by most of the players.

I will wait until the "Kaverit Open • Two Rounds" has started and people have some experience of the cons and pros of the settings in that tournament and ask them these questions.

There are the possible combinations:

1. 7-14 players in 2 groups, 7 to continue to the final of 14 players
2. 6-12 players in 2 groups, 6 to continue to the final of 12 players
3. 5-15 players in 3 groups, 5 to continue to the final of 15 players
4. 5-10 players in 2 groups, 5 to continue to the final of 10 players
5. 4-12 players in 3 groups, 4 to continue to the final of 12 players
6. 4-8 players in 2 groups, 4 to continue to the final of 8 players
7. 4-15 players in 5 groups, 3 to continue to the final of 15 players (The tournament "Kaverit Open • Two Rounds")
8. 4-12 players in 4 groups, 3 to continue to the final of 12 players
9. 4-9 players in 3 groups, 3 to continue to the final of 9 players
10. 4-6 players in 2 groups, 3 to continue to the final of 6 players
11. 4-14 players in 7 groups, 2 to continue to the final of 14 players
12. 4-12 players in 6 groups, 2 to continue to the final of 12 players
12. 4-10 players in 5 groups, 2 to continue to the final of 10 players
14. 4-8 players in 4 groups, 2 to continue to the final of 8 players
15. 4-6 players in 3 groups, 2 to continue to the final of 6 players
16. 4-4 players in 2 groups, 2 to continue to the final of 4 players

The max amount of players on the first round could be restricted lower than the final round e.g.
4-10 players in 5 groups, 3 of each to continue to the final of 15 players. [max10 3----> 15)

The max amount of players on the first round can always be 15.

The tournament ***Kaverit Open • Cup 32 - 80*** is now open for registration

It will start 19th June
First round is full rounds of 4-10 players in 8 groups, 2 of them continue to the finale
The final round is a Cup of 16, not a full round as previous Kaverit tournaments

My impression is that this map ("FLANKING MANEUVER AT BIR HAKEIM") can give wildly different outcomes. Having good cards as Axis for the right and especially middle section is crucial to get some good wins. At the same time, the Allies can score well if they have good cards for left and center.

My impression is that there are lots of unexpected results in this tournament, with lower ELO beating much higher ELO on this map.

Is that just me, or do others feel that way too?

Thank you, that is a very good feedback. And I would certainly like to read what the others think about this scenario. This scenario was recomended for me as balanced scenario that is not dependent of mere luck.

I agree with Jeroenh that the Allied right (and Axis left flank) seldomly sees a lot of heavy fighting. So cards in the other two sections are very welcome. Germans can use cards for that section to move tanks to the middle and shoot up some infantries.

It is not my preferred theatre or scenario, but this scenario balances out more than other desert scenarios in my opinion.
Of course there are some bad and good runs (I have had both :) ), but I feel overall the better player will come out on top more. :)

Thank you. The feedback of you and some other players is noted: the ammount of matches per round is reduced already to 9 and maybe reduced even further according the feedback to come. Some player DO like the rounds of full 15 players.
