Could be possible in quite a few games, but not in others. In Saboteur for example it would be a bad idea and lead to a lot of confusion, as communication is needed. Some players dont use the name but rather the colour to address people ("I think red is a sab")
In some other games' chats I have seen texts as "Well done, green" or "we need to stop blue" or stuff like that. Really wouldn't work anymore, then.
But nevertheless I like your idea as then it doesnt happen anymore that you think you got some colour, collect cards for that, to then only see you were wrong...
