BGA should create a Rallyman tournament where the top players, in groups of 4 or 6, race each other; initially by rating, then by tournament points by rating in the subsequent rounds. This way players are continually engaged with players at their level, and have the opportunity to climb toward the top as they win, and others fall.
This would also avoid the pitfall of getting grouped with players who seem to have little interest in participating in the tournaments that they have signed up for. For example, after 13 rounds in "The Long Game" Rallyman GT tournament, out of 185 races, 33 (17.8%) have concluded with some kind of time out condition. (One player has been missing for over 4 months and gets carried over round after round - note my suggestion at: #65154: "Too many players are ruining Rallyman tournaments by walking away from play.")
This format would be good for other games as well.
