I am currently playing Catan, with obvious Kingmaking in action, if I quit I get penalized and if I stay I will lose points.

What can I do ?

Yes, but I have to finish the game. I can't quit and I'll lose for sure. That's unfair.

Agreed. Not sure if there is any ELO correction afterwards when kingmaking is involved and accepted as such by BGA.
