1 day 1 news: automatic translations

Post by sourisdudesert »

We introduced recently a new feature on BGA news and BGA forum: automatic translations.

BGA news are now automatically translated in your language, and you can request to translate any post in the forum in your language too. Of course, this is an automatic translation and this is far from perfect, but most of the time it allows players who don't speak English to follow what is happening on BGA.

... and note that you can restore the original English text in one click in case you need it :)

I don't like it but you are probably right - it's better for some people to have such translations than nothing (but I can't wait for possibility to translate news by the users :) )

I wish I could set translations mode to the "default disabled" instead of current "default enabled" (even for the messages, I already clicked, that I don't want to have translated). Translations to polish are very bad.

I strongly agree with you. I bet translation to chinese is even worse.

The hungarian translation is not only funny, but almost totally unreasoning...

+1 for the option to disable the translation altogether.
I'm hungarian, and the translation to my language not only sounds funny, but it outright makes no sense.
I hade to switch back to english to understand even the most basic sentences.
I appreciate your effort to make BGA international, but your previous approach (letting us translate the games) worked a thousand times better.

Hello,

There is now an option to disable automatic translation from your preference (=> Account Management).

Cheers,
